Amazon KindleEasily the most talked about and popular e book reader is the Amazon Kindle.

Such is the popularity of the device that it sold out within hours of being launched for the first time in November 2007 and then remained out of stock for months thereafter.

The paper like screen can be read in the sunlight with no glare, the size of the text is adjustable and there is even provision for reading the newspaper on the Kindle.

The Kindle also offers an experimental read-to-me feature so you can read or listen to a book/article. Kindle has a five way controller so that you can browse much as you would the morning newspaper and you can clip and save articles for later as well.

You can easily search within a book. Suppose you forgot who a character is and wanted to see when he or she was first introduced, it is a snap with the Kindle.

Books are delivered wirelessly to the device in about one minute, whereas the battery will last for several days of reading. The Kindle also has wireless access to Wikipedia and a dictionary as well, which you can access on the move.

The Kindle store offers access to over 350,000 books, plus newspapers, magazines, and blogs. The different versions of the Kindle costs between $279 and $489 and the Amazon Kindle sale page claims to let you save big on the cover prices of the printed books!
