Disadvantages Of Electronic Paper Display Technology

E-Book ReadingWhile many people have embraced the e book reader technology wholeheartedly, there is a small but vocal minority that has complained of eye strain.

It is true that increasing the font size of the book you are reading or having better lighting where you are reading, can reduce that eye strain, but the fact remains that possible eyestrain reading this way can occur for some people.

Also it can take some getting used to: holding a slim electronic device in your hand rather than a comforting, friendly bulky book (no new book smell either, pity) may seem strange at first.

Some people find that holding it can be awkward and it has to be held in a way that does not touch any of the buttons, because this may result in unintended page turns.

Also some people report that a page takes time to refresh, and can freeze as well. Most inconvenient that would be if you wanted to know who the killer was on the very next page!

Also do you really want that a book is delivered to you in 60 seconds flat by wireless transfer and cut out the sheer joy of actually browsing a book store for hours on end? And you have to spend hundreds of dollars on the device before you get to read a single book!
