A Large Laptop Screen For Better Ergonomics

laptopSony and all the others may extol the virtues of their new super small, super slim, super light laptops till they are blue in the face, but let’s face it; this is not exactly in the interest of reducing work stress and strain.

Those nifty little pocket books are literally that pocketbooks and may be both desirable and super convenient in terms of portability, but working on them for long hours can end up being excruciating!

The super compact laptop, will, by definition have a small screen, thereby inevitably causing eyestrain, the small size meaning that you are working in a tiny area, that is bound to cramp and create discomfort.

Certainly a lot of research and development goes into making these darling little machines as ergonomic as possible, but the fact is that the ergonomic possibilities are strictly limited by their even more limited size.

What can be done to limit eyestrain when working on a really small laptop is, to increase the font size. While you have to sacrifice a few inches of screen view in the bargain, it is worthwhile when you know you have reduced the possibility of eyestrain.
